does the bell helmet size large fit my big head?

eyesore

I havent measured my head but its pretty big, i can barely fit in the graduation cap that was one size fits all. The model is named Bell Fraction Multi-Sport Helmet size:large, and can be found on amazon, if anyone can recommend another helmet that is cheap and big, feel free to answer. Thanks!

It is NOT just the size but the shape too! Each company seems to make a helmet for a different shaped head. There are some helmets I cannot even put in .... they hurt so much! So go to your local bike shops and try on several different models from several different companies. Get one that has lots of air vents and is comfortable!

Women's motorcycle helmets- Does non-pink exist?!?

Yesma'am

I'm looking for a motorcycle helmet but I measured my own head and I think I need 20 inches which doesn't exist and I don't want pink bc the bike I'm looking at is black/green. Any suggestions on measuring or where to buy non-pink helmets? Thanks!

Answer
There is no such thing as a woman's helmet. A helmet is a helmet. Go to a large motorcycle dealer and try helmets on for size. You probably need a small or extra small.

Bicycle Helmet Laws?????????????

....

Are bicycle helmets required in the state of Florida.

Answer
The most universal "bicycle helmet law" is the law of physics!

Even if it is not required by law, wearing a helmet while biking is a dang good idea! Have you ever seen what happens to the human head when it hits the pavement at 30 MPH or more? How about when the human head hits a car with an impact speed of 60 MPH?

It ain't pretty!

If what's in your head isn't worth the price of a helmet in your opinion ... go without one! If you value what's in your head (your brain), wear a helmet.

Should I wear a helmet while riding a bicycle?

P

Going to be riding on neighborhood streets and busy streets. The law says I need lights after dark, but it doesn't say I need a helmet. Should I wear one anyway?
Will be leisurely riding, not racing or terribly long distances.

Answer
The above argument that helmets are heavy, hot, expensive and limit your vision is nonsense.

Skip the big, beefy skate or downhill-style helmets and go for one of the many lightweight, relatively inexpensive helmets on the market which are designed for casual riding on the road. They tend to be well-ventilated and feel cool, extremely lightweight, and don't block vision in the least.

Some people hate the look of more technical road helmets, but I think they look great.

The argument that you're only riding on quiet streets or in dedicated bike lanes falls short, as well. Even though you're not riding with cars, you can still collide with another bike, a pedestrian, hit a pothole, blow out a tire, etc. There are an infinite number of ways to crash, and many are not in your control.

Specialized, Gyro, Bell, and many others have entry models starting at around $35. Visit your local bike shop and find one that fits.
