i know you're supposed to eat right...and excersice...and blah blah blah...
i'm not fat but i would like to use a few pounds off my stomach
anyone have any ideas to get stomach fat off like any quick excersise you could do at home???
DIEING FOR ANSWERS :D

Answer
Well, I have a definite way to achieve exactly what you're asking for, but, you can only start from home, since it's serious bicycling on bicycles that you can only get at a real bicycle shop (as opposed to WalMart, KMart, Target or the likes), with toe clips or similar device on your pedals, lycra shorts, jersey and bicycling shoes, and helmet recommended. If you do serious bicycling with that equipment, you'll have a very flat stomach, and very nice legs, an excellent heart rate and blood pressure. But, you can only start at home, and return there. The bicycle shop you buy your stuff from probably has a bicycle club you can join and ride with other knowledgeable cyclists who can help you exercise best. Oh, and be sure you have water bottles on your bicycle. Water is a MUST. That kind of exercise can lead you dehydrated very fast if you don't have the water with you. It's a lot of fun. I've done it for decades and have ridden for thousands of miles, alone and in clubs. Have fun. God Bless you.

Has ANYONE figured it out!?!?!?!?

HOW TO GET RID OF LOVE HANDLES????

Answer
I can guarantee you that if you ride bicycles like I did, you won't have any love handles. But that requires you go to a REAL bicycle shop, and not WalMart, Target, KMart, etc., where they sell what I call two-wheel-tanks. Get one that is much lighter and perfectly fit for you, and has toe clips or similar device on the pedals so you drastically increase your pedaling efficiency, and get bicycle shoes and some of those lycra shorts that serious bicyclist wear, AND A HELMET!!!! You'll have racks for water bottles already mounted on your new bicycle, and you'll NEED to drink plenty of water, and if you PEDAL instead of coast, and ride for some serious exercise, you'll lose those "love handles" and have some seriously gorgeous legs and hips. And you'll have the freedom to eat to your guts content, because you'll need those carb calories. God Bless you.

What age can I stop wearing a helmet when I bike? (Toronto)?

bicycle helmets ontario on 50 Girls 20

Anonymous

What is the minimum age in Toronto (Canada, Ontario), that I can ride my bicycle without wearing a helmet?

Answer
Depends on how old you are when you grow an adamantium layer of skin over your scalp...

You can legally ride without a helmet at 18, but it is *always* stupid to do so. Wearing a helmet, and wearing it properly, makes cycling immensely safer. In Toronto in particular, it's not that safe of a thing to do, but if you fall and hit your head, a helmet is the difference between having to spend $30 to replace your helmet, and having urban foxes make a meal of your brain matter.

It happens. All the freaking time. That's why whenever you see a cycling club ride past you, you can safely bet that they'll *all* be wearing helmets. Smart adults wear helmets even though they don't have to. And these days helmets can be pretty stylish, and there are always ways of dealing with helmet-head. So just get used to it, because if there's anything worth protecting in your head, you will *always* wear a helmet when you cycle.

do i realy need to wear a helmet on my bicycle?

Jeff H

im 17 and in ontario.there just so gay i dont want to wear the stupid thing
but do the cops realy care? ps i have an engine straped to my bike and i cruise around 40kph so that may factor in somehow?

Answer
You don't care enough to protect yourself or your family so don't bother. There are two types of riders those who have crashed and those that will.

If you go to Las Vegas always bet on the 3000+lb car over the 170lb helmet-less bike rider.

I could use some help with paraphrasing....?

bicycle helmets consumer reports on children's bike helmet recomendations - CafeMom
bicycle helmets consumer reports image

Tom J

We were given several paragraphs to paraphrase. To make sure I'm on the right track, can you please identify if I have paraphrased this short paragraph accordingly?

Original:
Of the more than 1000 bicycling deaths each year, three-fourths are caused by head injuries. Half of those killed are school-age children. One study concluded that wearing a bike helmet can reduce the risk of head injury by 85 percent. In an accident, a bike helmet absorbs the shock and cushions the head. From "Bike Helmets: Unused Lifesavers," Consumer Reports

Mine:
The value of bicycle of bicycle helmets: A study regarding helmet usage determined wearing a helmet reduces the risk of head injuries by 85 percent. Helmet usage is most prevalent for children, considering that half of bicycle related head injuries involve children. The study concluded that three fourths, of the more than 1000 related bicycle deaths yearly, resulted from head injury. (Consumer Reports, Bike helmets).

Answer
It's not bad, although you are saying things in your paraphrasing that are not in the original paragraph. For example, your sentence, "Helmet usage is most prevalent for children" which implies that helmets are most used by children (the definition of prevalent is "widely or commonly occurring"); there's nothing in the first paragraph that indicated most children wear helmets. I think you're meaning to say most "important" or most "necessary" for children; "prevalent" is the wrong word there.
And you can take out the two commas in the last sentence. They are unnecessary.

Honestly, paraphrasing usually entails shortening and tightening up something but, in your case, the paragraph is longer.

You could say "Helmet usage is most important for children, who account for half of bicycle-related fatalities." That makes it a little shorter and, actually, more accurate as the first paragraph refers to "fatalities" in children and not "injuries" as you have it.
Make sure when you are paraphrasing that you are not changing the facts as well.

can you paraphrase this texts ?

4.Matisse is the best painter ever at putting the viewer at the scene. He's the most realistic of all modern artists, if you admit the feel of the breeze as necessary to a landscape and the smell of oranges as essential to a still life. "The Casbah Gate" depicts the well-known gateway Bab el Aassa, which pierces the southern wall of the city near the sultan's palace. With scrubby coats of ivory, aqua, blue, and rose delicately fenced by the liveliest gray outline in art history, Matisse gets the essence of a Tangier afternoon, including the subtle presence of the bowaab, the sentry who sits and surveys those who pass through the gate. From Peter Plagens, "Bright Lights." Newsweek (26 March 1990): 50.
5.While the Sears Tower is arguably the greatest achievement in skyscraper engineering so far, it's unlikely that architects and engineers have abandoned the quest for the world's tallest building. And architect Robert Sobel claims that existing technology could produce a 500-story building. From Ron Bachman, "Reaching for the Sky." Dial (May 1990): 15.

As a realistic modern artist, Matisse seemed to incorporate the feel of the breeze and the smell of oranges into his still life. "The Casbah Gate" depicts the well-known southern gateway Bab el Aassa, near the sultan's palace. Matisse captured the essence of an afternoon in Tangier by his subtle use of color set against perhaps liveliest gray outline in art history. Is it about time Get tough on drunken-driver illegals hundreds of alcohol-related arrests of warrants posted?

DEGREASER

The silence from Maryland's political leadership was deafening when the news broke that Carlos Montano, an illegal alien, was arrested in Virginia for crashing into and killing an innocent Catholic nun while driving under the influence ("Suspect in fatal accident an illegal," Page 1, Aug. 3).

Politicians in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, which are known sanctuaries for illegal aliens, are quite aware of the dangerous arrest-and-release policies used for drunken-driving and related cases involving illegal aliens. For counties that pride themselves on public health and safety issues such as cigarette-smoking bans, trans-fat elimination, fireworks restrictions, motorcycle and bicycle helmet requirements and severe drunken-driving regulations, this revolving-door policy for illegals stands out like a sore thumb.

A careful review of Montgomery County's outstanding criminal and traffic warrants posted online reveals hundreds of alcohol-related arrests of illegals. In Prince George's County, the problem is even more pronounced, with outstanding warrants numbering in the tens of thousands. Why does the solid bloc of Democratic politicians in both counties assume that illegal aliens cited for drunken driving and related automotive violations (such as driving without a license or insurance) would actually show up in court for their crimes?

These fugitives already broke the law getting to our state and have no respect for our system of justice. We all know too well that automobiles can be killing machines. For the safety of Maryland residents, it's time to tighten immigration-enforcement restrictions to include all driving violations.

Why is it so hard to make wearing a bicycle helmet a law?

Doug

Seat belts are mandatory in all cars and its also illegal not to use it. Some states even require helmets on motor bikes. Why cant they make it a law to where a helmet when cycling. I've heard arguments like they cant tell you how to protect yourself because your life is your choice. Well its illegal to not wear a seat belt, its illegal to kill yourself, and its illegal to do many other dangerous things. According to those laws the government can decide the risks you take in life.
I am an avid cyclist and I always were a helmet. Its not uncomfortable and its not any real issue to have one. I have gotten in an accident before in which my head hit the ground. even with the helmet on I was still knocked out. This was also a very slow speed accident so any random kid could have the same thing happen and get killed because they didnt have a helmet.

Answer
Current US motorcycle and bicycle helmet laws.......

April 2010

Low-power cycle (LPC) is a generic term used by IIHS to cover motor-driven cycles, mopeds, scooters, and various other 2-wheeled cycles excluded from the motorcycle definition. While state laws vary, a cycle with an engine displacement of 50 cubic centimeters or less, brake horsepower of 2 or less, and top speeds of 30 mph or less typically is considered an LPC. Twenty-two states have motorcycle helmet laws that cover all low-power cycles. Twenty-five states and the District of Columbia have laws that cover some low-power cycles.

Twenty-one states and the District of Columbia have bicycle helmet laws that require some young bicyclists to wear a helmet. Local law may require helmet use for some or all bicyclists.

So soon all states will have this law......

Can skateboard helmets be used for inline skate helmets?

Scrumdiliu

I know that there is a difference between bicycle helmets, skating helmets, skateboard helmets, and snowboarding helmets but I was wondering if skateboard helmets and skate helmets could be used as the same?

I am a new skater and I think it would be idea if I get skate pads, etc.

Also do you recommend a brand? I was looking at Walmart and they seemed pretty safe.

Answer
There are two types of helmets: Bicycle and Multisport.
The names don't really describe the differences but are based on history of their development.

Bicycle helmets are lighter and usually have more air vents to keep you cool. They are usually more aerodynamically shaped. They are designed for the types of accident you get while moving forward and are good for rec/fitness/race skating.

Multisport helmets are designed for protection when there is more risk of hitting the back of your head such as skateboarding or doing tricks on skates or bikes.
They tend to be hotter because of lack of vents. They are tend to have a round shape and cover the back and sides of the head. The lining is made to protect if you hit another object on the way down (like a rail for grinding).

All helmets are only designed for one hard hit. They may not appear to be damaged but they may not protect well against a second hit.

For your skates, get the helmet appropriate for the type of skating you will be doing.

This goes for your pads also. The pads for aggressive and freestyle skating are thicker and cover more area than for rec/fitness/race skating.

For rec/fitness/racing skating, wrist guards are really important. You will almost always slide on your hands. However, I wear aggressive glove style wrist guards because they cover more skin in order to keep it intact.
Knee pads are more optional for "straight ahead" skating. When (not if) you fall, you should be sliding instead of falling straight down. The pads keep the skin from being scraped up. I have found that the scrapes are just below the knee and not just in the area that the pads cover. However, scrapes there heal faster and are not as painful while healing than ones on your hand. Tegaderm is a wonderful way to cover this kind of scrape. It keeps it moist so that you don't have the pain that happens when dry scabs crack and peal. It also is waterproof, can stay on for a week, and can cover large areas.
I have yet to know anyone who has significantly scraped up an elbow in straight ahead skating.

I am designing a bike helmet shell, can anyone tell me what the dimensions of just the shell are of a child to adolescent sized helmet? Thank you!!!

Answer
Smallest sized helmet generally available is 48 cm (18.9 ")
There were smaller helmets around but most manufacturers steer away from these. The skull bones of a child less than this size may not have sutured together.

An adolescent can have a fully grown head

Larger sizes of 63 cm (24.8") are common. Some people need an even larger helmet.

Rough guide width 0.8 times length. Depth 0.4 times length

Wouldn't it be better for the government to give guidance as far as staying healthy by?

Lilly

doing things such as giving fines to parents who fail to: make sure their children wear shoes when walking on pavement so that they don't end up with glass and other sharp objects cutting their feet; purchase a bicycle helmet for their children when they buy a bike and make the child wear it; and teach their children to walk on sidewalks instead of in the streets in order to stay safe? Wouldn't it make more sense for the government to worry about guiding people who do not have good judgment when it comes to parenting, instead of telling us to not drink pop and eat at McDonald's?

Answer
These are very different, not mutually exclusive so there doesnât need to be a choice. The government can do either, both or neither.

What you are proposing would be in effect mandatory, and the government is often cautious about imposing on citizens' choices by making everything mandatory. They do so from time to time, but usually only in clear cut cases. And even now, extremely bad judgment involving a child could perhaps be prosecuted under a child endangerment charge. (Which is a criminal charge, not a civil fine). Sounds like you are proposing a system of lesser, civil charges for minor cases of irresponsibility that probably wouldnât get prosecuted now.

One example where that is done now is with car seats, which are now mandatory. There could certainly be laws passed, probably at the state level, creating additional, similar requirements.

Such rules are enforced and made at a local level, while the dietary guidelines are usually from the federal level â in a sense a completely different âgovernmentâ so different organizations are deciding the two issues.

In any case, guidelines like that are just educational and do not force anyone to comply, so they can be issued relatively freely.

Can I ride a motor assisted bicycle in Tasmania without a license?

Scrampy

If I have a suspended license (DUI), live in Tasmania, can I ride a motor assisted bicycle?
I have a suspended license for DUI.
I live in Tasmania
And I need a way to get around without getting booked.

I THINK I'm right to say that I am allowed to ride a "motor assisted" bicycle, so long as it is not over 200watts power... and I wear a helmet etc. But I have been told that I will get booked if I ride on the road because it has a motor and if it's on the road it's classed as a motor vehicle.

Does anyone know if this is true? Can I ride this bike without being booked?

Thanks!

Answer
I only know USA laws and statutes on motorized bicycles/mopeds. Many places consider them to be the same thing. 50 states is enough for me to remember. The laws vary greatly from state to state and country to country. You should be able to go online and look up the statutes.

A law that says you must wear a helmet while riding a bicycle?

Larry T

Wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle can be a good idea in some situations. But in Australia we have a law that says we must. Using sun-cream while outside can be a good idea in some situations. Avoiding fatty foods can be a good idea too, but we don't have laws about these. Why is that? Bicycle use had fallen significantly since the law was introduced and car usage has risen. Shouldn't we be doing everything we can to encourage bicycles, not discourage them?

I'm 13 and I'm always on the road with my bike. I've read many ways to be safe on the street, but I'm not sure if it's legal for me to ride on the street. I do have a helmet, yes, and I do use basic riding tips and hand signals. I know what I can do on the road and I can do it, but I don't wanna be pulled over by the cops anytime now. Plus, I'm getting a new road bike so it's another step in speed and danger

Answer
NO it is not illegal for you to ride in the street in CA. But like many states you are subject to the rules of the road. You have already taken a big step by wearing a helmet and signaling. Keep up the riding and fun.

What should I get/ do to become a mountain bike racer?

pokerspade

I am an average novice bike rider. I want to know what I need to do to start training and eventually compete in mountain bike races. What kind of training and diet regiment should I follow? What kind of bike and helmet should I get? How do I even get into a race? I am looking for anyone who has experience in the sport who might be able to help an upstart wannabe racer make his dreams come true.

Answer
First off, I am sure you have a bike. But I am sure it's not 1. Fitted to you 2. Tuned 3. Has proper Components. If you want to race this summer the good news is you don't even need a bike right now. You need to be in the Gym 3-4 days a week taking Spinning classes, weight lifting on both legs and upper body and following a nutrition plan to skinny you up (yes Skinny riders are normally the fastest).

Bike, Ok so your now on your way to getting fit. That's good. But to race you need the right bike. Go to your best Local bike shop (check MTBR.com for review). And tell them your story, they will either outfit you with a better set up or take what you have and get it ready for racing..

Riding: MTB is not just about fitness or gear. But a lot about heart and finesse. I would find out from the shop were the last year races were, maybe there was a series that toured around your state. Then as soon as the weather is nice get out there and ride as much as you can, forget the Gym and just ride. It's a lot different then being on a stationary bike.

Once your comfy on the bike and all the trails (this is not as easy as you think). Make some friends that ride, again your shop is a good resource. and look into a good beginner race. This will get your feet wet with how it's done.

After you have raced a little the rest falls into place.. Good luck.

Where is a face sheild for a bicycle helmet?

brandenads

I would like to know where to find on the Web a bicycle helmet either with a built-in face shield (covering the actual eyes and face, not just a "peak" like the brim of a baseball cap), or a separate face shield that you can attach to a helmet to cover your eyes and face.

Try not to limit your focus to visors on the "time trial" style bicycle helmets. No references to motorcycle-only helmets please! I am referring to bicycle helmets.

Please link to pictures!
Jett Boy has mentioned a nice one. If you are reading this, is there any way that you can email me a picture of the face shield?

Answer
I think you are looking for a BMX helmet.. Those would have wraparound chin guards, and popular bicycle accessory brands like Giro and Bell offer them. These BMX helmets are lightweight and rated for bicycle use, not for motorcycle use. Though if you want something heavier-duty, you can get motorcross helmets.

Here's the Bell BMX offering: http://www.amazon.com/Bell-Bellistic-Mountain-Downhill-Helmet/dp/B000ILOBAG/ref=sr_1_17/002-1534971-9251239?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1180323967&sr=8-17

Or you can buy the face mask and goggles as a separate piece if you have a helmet that does not have a face/chin guard: http://www.amazon.com/JT-X-FIRE-Goggles-System-Olive/dp/B000PRKPN0/ref=sr_1_5/002-1534971-9251239?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1180324245&sr=8-5

Hope this helps a little.

Jan Lee Tu

Specifically Atlanta, Georgia
Im 13 by the way and I don't want to go to jail. I'm not from Georgia I'm just visiting for a couple of days and I don't want to go to jail.

Answer
The applicable excerpt from Georgia state law is:

"No person under the age of 16 years shall operate or be a passenger on a bicycle on a highway, bicycle path, or sidewalk under the jurisdiction or control of this state or any local political subdivision thereof without wearing a bicycle helmet."

So, if you are under 16, you must wear a helmet. If you are 16 or over, you really should wear a helmet. Even if you are the best cyclist in the world you can be knocked off your bike by someone else's stupidity or even just by their lack of attention. You don't want your brains to be the topping on a street pizza. Having seen people go flying over their handlebars and doing nasty faceplants, I can vouch that helmets do work.

Is it ok to ride a bike on the sidewalk without a helmet?

Mika

so im 14 years old, and i wanna exercise or tone my legs with riding a bike on the sidewalk for like 30 minutes and the problem is i dont wanna wear a helmet nor i dont have one.And is it legal not to? or the police will chase me and give me a ticket? Pls answer asap. Thanks !

Answer
Yea I hate helmet hair too. That's an interesting question and not easily answered. A random check of ten states found that only one (Georgia) actually prohibits bicycles from using the sidewalk. Some cities and towns have local ordinances prohibiting sidewalk use in certain areas such as the downtown business area. As for helmet laws, most refer to "bicycle use in public areas" which would include sidewalks. By the way, riding on the sidewalk actually increases your risk of injury from a car due to intersections and cross walks. Check out the stats in the link below.

I would like to know bike rules in Reno.?

I am an incoming freshman to the University in Reno NV and I don't have a mode of transportation to get to my classes besides riding a bike and I am new to this and don't know the rules on riding one on the road. If anyone can help me on some rules, that would be greatly appreciated. I am also curious if I will have to wear a helmet all the time or if I am able to listen to my ipod with headphones while riding, would they be against the law? Thank you.

Answer
I'll be at UNR in the fall too. As a freshman. That's cool.

Bikes aren't allowed in the dorms. If you're in Nye Hall, you can keep them in the garage/basement. I'm sure the other halls have similar options. If you want something more secure, you can rent a bike locker (outside White Pine and Nye), as far as I've seen. I haven't noticed any other lockers around campus.

As for helmets/earphones: I've seen a fair amount of people riding both with and without helmets; even if there is some type of law, it doesn't seem to be enforced. Never seen anyone riding with earphones. It's even more of a hazard on a busy campus than it is on a long road ride.

I'll be joining the cycling team, so don't expect to see any of my bikes lying around. I value them too much to use them as commuters, so I'll have a bike locker and I'll be walking to class. Once you get to know the campus a bit, it really isn't as large as it seems.

explain the merits and demerits of primary legislation?

KYAGABA P

Answer
Primary legislation is legislation made by the legislative branch of government. This contrasts with secondary legislation, made by the executive branch, usually within boundaries laid down by the legislature.
Merits of Primary legislation are:
1. Primary legislation (PL) sets the Laws of the land. Without such laws no country can function and there would be chaos and civil disorder.
2. PL allows all the citizens to know in advance, the rules of the land and the restrictions and remedies available to them agains arbitrary behavior of the Executive (GOVT) that may hurt any one or more of the citizens. Without PL the Govt. can act arbirarily and in partisan / oppressive manner.
3. PL, especially in democracy, ensures that before any piece of primary law is enacted, the various issues are discussed and debated by intellectuals and others taking in to account the probable effect on various groups of citizens in terms of the principles of human rights, fainess and justice as well as the value systems and cultures of the people in the country. Such debates help better understanding, building up of consensus among citizens and a reconcillation of different views. Without that the laws made and enforced by the Govt./ executive may be arbirary, discriminatory, ad hoc and oppressive.
Demerits of Primary Legislation are:
1. PL implies debates and discussions and therefore takes long time but in many cases of emergency and sudden developments (like war or spread of underground terroism, conclusion of agreements with foreign countries, discovery of abuse of new technology), laws need to be enacted and enforced without delay. PL thus may cause damage by delayed response on emergent needs of new laws or modified laws.
2. With PL, the functioning of the Govt. may get efected adversely as the Legislatures are often reluctant to delegate much for secondary legilation by the executive. This may undermine the effectivenes of governance.
For better appreciation see the Notes below:
Delegated legislation (sometimes referred to as secondary legislation or subordinate legislation) is law made by an executive authority under powers given to them by primary legislation in order to implement and administer the requirements of the acts. It is now generally accepted that delegated legislation not only has shortcomings but that it also has some advantages. Firstly, It saves Parliamentary time. To take just one example, the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1995 run to 185 very detailed but uncontroversial pages. There would be nothing to be gained from debating these in Parliament: the time taken for 650 MPs and 300 or so peers even to read the draft regulations would be better spent on other things. It allows Parliament to concentrate more on broad issues of policy rather than masses of detail. The Road Traffic Act 1972 included a general requirement for motor-cyclists to wear protective helmets, but left the Secretary of State to draw up detailed regulations as to the type of helmet required. The Motor Cycles (Protective Helmets) Regulations 1980 contain further detail about the requirements. It allows technical matters to be determined by those competent to do so, and can make use of expert knowledge not available within the Civil Service. The Air Navigation Order 1995 contains 140 pages of highly technical rules (including tables, maps and so on) governing the flying of civil aircraft around the United Kingdom: it is doubtful whether any Member of Parliament (including the Minister) had the technical expertise even to comment on these rules, let alone draft them. Delegated legislation is more flexible than an Act of Parliament. The County Court Fees Order 1999 sets out the fees payable at various stages of civil proceedings, but the County Court Fees (Amendment) Order 2002 amends this Order to take account of changes in certain enforcement procedures. Similarly, the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1997 was made by the Lord Chancellor under s.2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984 to close the now-redundant County Court at Ammanford. It allows rapid action to be taken in times of emergency. The Food Protection (Emergency Provisions) Order 1986 was made and laid before Parliament and came into effect less than two hours later, prohibiting the movement or slaughter for food of sheep in certain areas thought to have been affected by radioactive fallout from the incident at the Chernobyl power station.
A disadvantage of delegated legislation is in the sheer bulk of laws that get passed through its channels. Because of this bulk, there is normally a lack of publicity or knowledge about the rules enforced. Another disadvantage is that accountability and control are lost. Because the powers are delegated, and combined with the bulk of delegated legislation, the system becomes rather undemocratic due to those whom the legislations are delegated to being hard to make accountable. There is also a loss of control over the laws that can be made - although Parliament and the courts (via judicial review) can add some control measures.

Is the Suzuki Hayabusa a good bike for me?

best rated street bike helmets image

That's GOA

It's gonna be my first motorcycle, I think it should be good for me cuz I drive motorcycles really good in GTA and I love riding my bicycle really fast. The price is not an issue for me since I'm really rich. I love power and speed, and the Hayabusa looks like the best option for me.
I'm 17 year old, 5'3 male if that matters.

Answer
Busas are perfect first bikes because of the lack of power and ability to hit 186 mph which in my opinion is way too slow for most public roads. Be careful though because you WILL grow out of it quickly and feen for something bigger like a zx14 so keep that in mind when buying your busa.

The skills you aquired in long hours of playing gta will absolutley provide more benefits than ANY msf course out there. Msf is over rated if you ask me!

A few tips when you get your busa:
-Be sure NOT to wear a helmet because it just adds unecessary weight
-Gloves are a definite no no because they affect throttle control
-Since youre rich you wanna make sure you mod your bike like no other. Having a hayabusa is all about impractical modding. Neon lights, stretched swingarms and chrome rims are just the tip of the iceberg.

So have fun and shred those public streets like a boss. And remember, safety is for pussies.

How is there freedom if there are laws?

##

"Without laws, there can be no freedom.

How, for example, could you be free to drive to work if there was no law against anyone bigger than you taking your car just because he felt like it?

Richard"

but then if there were no laws, why would i go to work?

Answer
You are free to choose not to go to work, if you don't mind eventually having to live on the street. That freedom of choice will immediately mean you are not entitled to other freedoms - freedoms which you cannot afford - is your choice - the freedom to choose a crappy standard of living at the bottom of the pile, but what if everyone decided to do that? Who would produce our food, clothing, cars, homes?

Let's take a few laws and see what freedoms they provide:

Law = Crime to steal
Freedom = I can leave my car safely in a car park - unlikely it will be stolen due to protection of this law

Law = Crime to kill
Freedom = My son can beat an opponent in sport in safety - unlikely fanatic father of defeated kid will kill my son due to this law

Law = Traffic infringement to speed
Freedom - I can drive on roads in safety - reduces likelihood of a vehicle blowing me off the highway and over a cliff face

Law = Truancy breach if children do not attend school
Freedom = Education provides the opportunity to be free to choose meaningful employment, to save up and enjoy the freedom of owning a home. Many would not go to school without this law, so society would be full of drop-outs = higher crime rate, higher taxes to support them, etc. which all compromise other freedoms

Law = Crime to rape/other sexual offences.
Freedom = My daughter has the freedom to go to the beach in safety - unlikely some sex-crazed, over-hormoned youth will attack her due to this law

Law = Building codes and Council by-laws
Freedom = Can walk into my home, shopping malls and offices without fear of the foundations collapsing and killing us all - builders less likely to build unsound and dodgey buildings, due to the protection of this law

Law = Smoking prohibited in certain public areas
Freedom = Can eat, drink, relax in places of entertainment etc. knowing it is no risk to my health - people unlikely to smoke where prohibited due to this law

Law = Must wear a seat belt/bike helmet
Freedom = Freedom to travel is not compromised - adds security, minimising likelihood of serious injury in case of accident

Law = Cannot import/manufacture/grow or sell illicit drugs
Freedom = Can enjoy the freedom to attend schools or place of work amongst responsible citizens engaged in industrious pursuits/working/learning/contributing gainfully to personal prosperity and prosperity of country = enables other freedoms of a stable society

The list goes on and on, but I am sure you get the picture by now.
