what's a good helmet cam for dirt bike riding?

BRANDON M

i ride dirt bikes a lot and i want to have a helmet cam, so what is a good helmet cam for me?

Answer
GoPro makes cheap and very good little helmet cams.

For under $200 you'll have a waterproof, shockproof camera with mounting system.

Look at the Motorsports Hero Wide.

Dirt Bike Shifting?

AEN

What would happen if you shifted without pulling the clutch?

Would It hurt the bike at all (honda CR85r expert)?

Thanks

Answer
I'm sorry but the above answers are wrong. On a motocross bike you can shift up or down without the clutch by just letting off of the gas slightly. Shifting gears (up) on an MX bike using the clutch is called "power shifting" and you only do that in certain situations like off the starting line. If you use the clutch for every shift you will experience serious arm pump. I do sometimes use the clutch for down shifting but not all of the time. If you ever watch motocross on TV they almost always show a rider taking a lap wearing a helmet cam. Usually you can see his left hand pretty well. Watch his left hand and listen for the shift. You will see that he does not use the clutch most of the time. Sometimes they will also power shift on an uphill especially on the lites bikes but the majority of the shifts are done clutchless. Motocross riders have been shifting this way since the 70's.
