i'm a 16 yr old female, 5'3", 140lbs and i'm looking into buying a dirt bike. What kind of things should i be looking for in purchasing a bike? I don't really know anything about the sport either. I'm just looking for an interesting sport to do and this looks like alot of fun with the rough terrain and jumps and what not.
What are some places (shops, stores) that would carry the bikes, helmet, gear, etc?

Answer
I race dirtbikes and from my experience it is really fun. ok im about 5'4" and i have a suzuki 85. if u want to race you might get some type of 85 or 125 but if u just want to trail ride then maybe a honda 150 would be good. motorcycle superstore is a good place for gear and there are lots of others in most places around the world. if u were to get a helmet make shure its snell approved and gear lots are good. get boots and stuff like that. And then just go out and ride and have fun.

Addressing Difficult Topics with Neighbors?

K.D.

We (myself, my girlfriend, & our 3-year old daughter) just moved into a 5 family apartment building the beginning of January. We live on the 3rd Floor, and share the floor with another family (husband, wife, mother, etc) which by fate also has a 3-year old daughter. We introduced our two families, and let the two girls play together.

But after an incident when the neighbor's daughter ran into their apartment doorway, and got injured...the family has been very distance towards us. The kids were playing in the hall with both families present when the accident occurred. Everyone is civil saying general greetings and such but the family doesn't talk about our kids playing together anymore, plus it seems like they are trying to keep their daughter away from us.

How can we create an open dialogue between our two families to address what happened, and also to ask the neighbors in a sensitive way not to clutter the hallway? Currently, there's a toddler bike, little Ikea children's desk, umbrella's, helmet's, books, and the biggest problem is a large metal file cabinet. Which the father commented about: "I brought it home from work. We don't have enough room for our apartment" to imply junk in the hallway is okay.

How can we be considerate and respectful ("Loving Thy Neighbor") and conscious of those around us addressing these delicate very sensitive topics in a way which won't be offensive to anyone? I don't want to add to the current tension, and do want everyone to get along peacefully.

I'm thinking about baking cookies or brownies to share with the neighbors, or possibly inviting the family for breakfast to clear the air.

Anyone been in a situation similar to this?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You in advance.

Answer
well first off was the stuff in the hall when you moved in?it will be difficult for you to address it if it was.(however check with your landlord and your lease as well as the local fire dept.) if its obstructing the pass through it may also be a fire safety issue. i think your idea of inviting them to a breakfast is brilliant,it seems they may have the impression that your daughter may have somehow caused the injury(knowing 3 yr olds and just how rambunctious they can be i highly doubt it).If your offer is declined please try and keep the same attitude you have now-it is the right one good luck and God bless
