Get sidebangs and let your hair grow out to the tips of your ears! Use a little gel but keep it messy and natural!

Hairstyles for female Triathletes?
Dreamer_24
I have really long layered hair and it drives me crazy when it falls in my face or is plastered to my neck during a race or practice. So far I have not some up with any good hairstyles that look cute and keep the hair out of my face. I have tried braids but with my layered hairs the braid starts to fall apart really fast. It has to fit under my bike helmet which means a low pony tail. Any suggestions would be great.

Have you tried french braids with your hair divided in more than two braids, some samples on this page with two braids each: http://www.dreamweaverbraiding.com/braid_examples/braid_examples_classics.htm
Also forget the decorations, those are nice for a party but not useful under a helmet.
When your hair is still a tad short for French braids, you can add a ribbon, either one or three for each braid. That will give your hair something to grip on.
Those ribbons work easier when you make what that site calls Dutch braids, with the braid on top of your hair.
