Is it better to get a slightly larger helmet or smaller (motorbike)?

Im buying a helmet online soon and i measured my head, and its 57cm's above my ears all the way round. According to a chart im a size medium, but im wondering if i should get a small size just so it figs snug?

Any advice would be amazing, thanks.

Measure your head accurately and use that measurement. If a helmet is too tight you will be very uncomfortable within minutes, unable to put on glasses, no doo-rag, and itchy hair.

Too loose of a fit lowers the protection. My advice is to go to a store and try them on.

Don't use glass cleaner. The visor isn't glass, and glass cleaner will damage it.

When we're on the road, I keep a small can of Plexxus in my tank bag, along with a microfiber cloth. This works great, and never leaves streaks.

At home, I have very good luck with warm water on a microfiber cloth. Wipe on the water, let it sit a minute, then wipe off gently.

I don't use soap, some soaps can leave a film you won't see until you're riding.
