Doing a little research and im debating on buying the plastic mask and Velcroing the mask to a helmet or just buy a dirt bike helmet that looks really similar to a spartan and spray painting it

I would go for the dirt bike helmet and spray painting it. You might find a suitable one at a thrift store or yard sale. You can use masking tape to tape off areas to paint different colors or use model paint to make details.

I live in Vegas so the drivers are a little..... yeah they aren't the best. I want to ride my bike to school but its illegal to ride on the sidewalk!
Is a helmet all I will need? I have a neon colored bike and helmet so I WILL be seen no problem.

yes, considering where you live it could be dangerous. I didn't know it was illegal to ride your bike on the sidewalk there. weird. I'd suggest doing a ride up there before school starts to test it out and have you parents ride with you, just in case.
