What's a good bicycle helmet for city riding?

I live in Philadelphia, and it is pretty congested. I have a trek bike helmet and I hate it. It feels like a big bowl on top of my head, and I hate the straps. I'm thinking about a skateboard helmet. Is that a good idea? I dont care how hot it is, I just want it to be more comfortable.

The more expensive helmets come in different sizes and will be a much better fit. They will also be smaller then the one size fits all. A skateboard helmet will be way too hot.

What can I do to help my head-banging relative?

I have an elementary-aged relative who bangs his head when he gets angry or frustrated--sometimes so hard he gets big bumps and bruises. He has a history of big, big melt-downs, but this only cropped up over the past few months. I'm afraid he'll really damage himself. What can I do to help him with this particular problem?

In the meantime, get a football helmet or a bicycle helmet, on the head. At least the head will sustain less injury. Let him pick it out and make sure he knows how much he's loved and so he can love his head enough to put a cover on it to protect it while he bangs it.

Then work on channeling the anger into other avenues of expression.

Also, you can go to school and talk to them,
is he in special ed? What about his parents?
This may be indications of an undiagnosed
condition needing medical or other professional
attention....there's not alot to go on in the details.
